Mauricio Iturralde Punzo

Mauricio is an associate with the firm and is a member of the tax consulting and litigation department. He has more than seven years of experience in civil and business law, and four years of experience in tax, administrative and corporate law.

Mauricio has a bicultural education. He obtained his law degree (J.D. equivalent) from the Universidad Iberoamericana and completed a Certification in Amparo Procedure from the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Tax Law from the Universidad Panamericana.

His practice is focused on administrative and tax procedures and appeals, nullity and amparo procedures, as well as tax advice and planning. Mauricio also has extensive experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, as well as various regulatory matters. He began his career as a law clerk, and then as an associate for an American law firm headquartered in Mexico City.

He has been an assistant professor at Universidad Iberoamericana and Universidad La Salle, teaching J.D. courses such as “Tax Law”, “Administrative Law”, “Administrative Procedure” and “Taxes in particular”.
